Spotted this a few minutes ago. Not like it was JDM or a Euro version or anything. Regular USDM model. It wasn't behind a regular plate like BMW and VW guys putting a German plate behind their regular plate (stupidest thing ever).
Plus can anyone tell me where the plates are from?

I'm trying to get an adapter for the front bumper, It sits in the window right now.

Can't knock on it that way. I'd get a JDM plate in my window, but only if I kept the stock plates in the stock location. But putting one behind the other is a no-no.

I'm going to take a wild guess that you're in one of the port cities in California and near some major military bases. I'm willing to bet that's a military member's car that recently PCS'd back to the states from Europe. Guessing England.

I'd probably do a flip up from the bottom, side mount maybe. Or not even bother.

I can´t see the letter in blue. So don´t know for sure. But it reminds me of German export plates. Probably a US soldier returning from overseas duty.

Airforce base is across the street from my job (about 2 miles from where this pic was taken). It's a USDM model, though. LHD and side markers and all.

You can take a USDM car with you to Europe and then ship it back (or buy a USDM vehicle there and ship it back). There's a regulation that gives you x days to re-register your vehicle in the state you PCS to or your home of record when you come back from OCONUS. My guess is this person recently got their car back from the shipper (that's been a major issue recently http://www.defense.gov/news/newsartic… ) and is still within their x days window to register their vehicle here in CONUS again.

I know that (at least in Germany) the majority of US soldiers drive around in ´regular´ USDM cars. They even have their own license plates. Same goes for British military staff in the Netherlands...

military plates from Europe most likely. I have the ones from my parents Volvo, they were the regular US plate shape rather than the Euro shape.

British plates are nothing like that, though.

I've never lived there, but I've seen the plates often on bases. It could be Germany, but they usually follow a pattern that the C9 doesn't really fit (that I'm aware of).

Also putting euro plates ANYWHERE on your car where they mean nothing is just so stupid

There are Hong Kong plates on a Mini Cooper by my work. Dudes been driving with them for over a year. I'm in Phoenix which is nowhere near Hong Kong.
